Post Reunion Thoughts

We would like to thank everyone for coming to the SPC reunion. Maybe now, after seeing old classmates and friends, we can post some thoughts about the reunion and create some ideas on future projects.

JMJ - What a Fun Time!
Gerry and Family -- Last year you asked if I thought "enough" people would be interested in attending a SPC reunion ...how funny is that now?!? You toook off with this grand idea of yours, and whoda thunk that "enough" people would grow to such a huge number? I was amazed at your planning, your website, your total commitment. I was also amazed to see you with a beer in your hand - and not curled up in the corner from exaustion! You and your family worked very hard and the result was extraordinary. My heartfelt thanks to you Gerry, and the rest of the Grape family for this huge effort that turned into a wonderful afternoon! JMJ - it was fun! ....Patty McNamara Ableman '66

WHAT A RIDE!!!
WHAT A RIDE!!!MY ARMS ARE STILL SORE FROM HUGGING EVERYBODY(WHAT A GREAT FEELING). SISTER ANNE CAROLINE GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL INSCRIBED ROCK, AND ONLY HEAVEN COULD BE BETTER THAN THIS, THANX GRAPES, FOR GIVING ME A SEAT ON THE BUS!!!!!!!!!!

INCREDIBLE!
Gerry, this was the most incredible event I have ever witnessed. I'm still on Cloud 9 and absolutely amazed at the HUGE success of the party. You and your sisters pulled off the party of a lifetime. You brought an entire neighbor hood back together for a joyous Sunday afternoon. Words cannot describe my gratitude. Bless you all.

What a Blessing!
What a blessing last Sunday was to me & all I talked to. I think I almost talked to the 550 peoplein attendance because I have been hoarse for 2 days & still trying to get my voice back (some are hoping it takes a few more days). I am still smiling & when asked why that is I say "SPC Then and Now! How blessed we were to grow up in such a place. How blessed we are to have been able to recreate that magic. Thank you seems so inadequate to say to Gerry and the Grapenthien family. I know I am not alone in how much I appreciate you and will NEVER forget this wonderful thing you have done! So again I thank you and thank you again. This is right up there with some of the best happenings of my life. I have been blessed with much in my life-more than I deserve & just when I thought it couldn't get any better - this SPC Reunion happened. We are a special FAMILY! I know the class of '67 feels that way & plans to try to continue the party! Thank you again Gerry & family!!!

What a Day!!!!!
Gerry and Carol, I can't thank you enough for such a great day! Seeing everyone brought back such good memories. You and your family did a wonderful job planning and organizing this event. The outcome proved it. I just can't believe how fast the day and night went. Thank you again for all your hard work and devotion. There is a place in heaven for you now. BIGGEST BABY BOOMER BASH EVER
Gerry and his girls........Thank you so much for your vision, dedication, and plain old hard work in organizing the BIGGEST BABY BOOMER BASH ever!! We lived a childhood that will never be experienced again in America. It's obvious that we baby boomers, collectively, have a caring heart and a happy soul. Looking forward to the next bash......maybe dancing next time????

Great Sunday Afternoon
Gerry that was a wonderful afternoon. I just viewed the cd and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. The best part of the afternoon for me was getting to talk with Delores, Danny Palumbo's mother. The last time I saw her was right after I got married, so that would have been around 35 years ago. She gave me a christmas tree ornament that she had made and it has been on our christmas tree every year since, I think it's time I pass it down to my son and granddaughters. If there is anything I can do to help with the next event let me know, this should definitely become a regular scheduled event. Kudos to Gerry and evryone else who helped stage this great get together.

Again, thanks!
Didn't want to let too much time go by without expressing my gratitude to you all that worked so hard to pull of an incredible day! Several memories were brought up as well as several new ones were made! It was great to see old friends and to know the good ones are still so good! God bless you all and thanks for the new memories! Hope to see you all soon.

Darn missed it again!!!
Wow, just found out about the reunion today. I found the website though and what fun it was to look through the photos but I only recognized a handful of people. It would be nice if the photos had names attached 'cause these old eyes had a hard time readund those name tags. I plan to make the next reunion God willing. Philip C Welch Class of 1971

It was just a year ago today...
And what a year it has been. Once again thanks go out to Gerry Grapes and his sisters for rekindling old(?) hearts and minds. :-)

Class of 1961
The blog was great. It did bring back many memories. I was a Patrol Boy on North Ave. I was causing the kids to run, so I could finish sooner. Sister mary Alice found out and re- assigned me to playground duty. God bless you all, it is a great website.
